ARCHITECTURAL TILT-UP: RETAIL

BRIARCLIFF RETAIL

WHO WE WORKED WITH

OVERVIEW

Well-known local developer and contractor Charles Garney had a vision for Briarcliff – that it would be a community that serviced the Northland, featuring offices, retail stores and restaurants. Briarcliff Village’s retail shops cover 90,000 square feet, and architecturally, Garney was looking to recreate a Tuscan village in the hills overlooking Kansas City. Architectural Tilt-Up construction ended up being the perfect solution, facilitating robust, superior construction with a lower cost than conventional building materials. Plus, integrated architectural features, like stucco and thin brick, perfectly match the Tuscan feel desired by Briarcliff’s designers. The speed of Tilt-Up construction cut a month from the construction schedule, with hundreds-of-thousands of dollars saved using a Building Shell System rather than conventional construction.
