Leadership
ROGER MEYER is the interim CEO of Summit Concrete. He assists in the company’s overall business development strategy with a special emphasis on Architectural Tilt-Up construction. Roger got his start in the industry as a general contractor in
the mid-1970s. Within a few years, Roger and his brother Dave co-founded Meyer Brothers Building Company, and in 1988, Roger had his first experience with Tilt-Up construction. He soon recognized concrete as a superior building product, and the company brought site-cast Tilt-Up concrete construction to the Kansas City area. His pioneering work with Tilt-Up construction continues today. Roger lives in rural Blue Springs with his wife. They attend The Summit Church in Lee’s Summit, a place of worship built with Roger’s own concrete expertise.
MARK MEYER has nearly four decades of construction industry experience, with 35 years spent as a commercial general contractor, where he’s served as a field superintendent, project manager and estimator. His experience includes sales and
project management of industrial, office, retail, and institutionalized buildings, and for the bulk of his professional career, Mark has focused on business development of mid-sized commercial construction projects. He’s a current member of the
Concrete Promotional Group, and as the CEO of Summit Concrete Specialties, Mark keeps the entire Summit team educated and trained on the latest tools and techniques in the industry. Mark lives in Blue Springs with his wife, where he serves s an active member of his faith community at Timothy Lutheran Church.
DOUG JACK leads Summit’s executive operations. In the US Army, Doug led the Army Drone Aircraft Program, served as a Division Targeting Analysis Officer, an Army Intelligence Officer, and commanded in the 1st Armored Division 2-1 FA during Operation Desert Storm. After his military service, Mr. Jack transitioned into business leadership. He has assumed responsibility for all aspects of national and international multi-facility manufacturing operations. Senior executive experience includes roles at Wells Fargo, Securitas, MasterCard, NSI, Landis+Gyr, Acuity Brands, and Sioux Steel. Doug spends much of his time in the Kansas City area but makes his home in St. Louis where he lives with his wife of 33 years, Kathryn; the couple has four grown children.
