ARCHITECTURAL TILT-UP: HEALTHCARE

SELECT HOSPITAL

WHO WE WORKED WITH

OVERVIEW

For its first free-standing facility in the Kansas City area, Select Medical
Corporation needed to balance costs and construction timelines with a warm and modern environment necessary for serving patients with complex medical needs and longer-term hospital stays. That balance was found in Architectural Tilt-Up, which was used for the entire shell of the 34,000 square foot space at the south corner of the Providence Medical Center campus. Total cost of ownership was considered in the design, leading to the use of insulated Thermomass wall panels for superior energy efficiency throughout the facility. And given the robust construction of Architectural Tilt-Up, the facility has experienced lower  aintenance costs over time. Thin brick EIFS gave the exterior a traditional and welcoming feel, while the Summit Concrete team gave special attention to the trowel-finished patient rooms.
